Summary: Performs inspection, maintenance, and/or restoration of utility infrastructure. Performs inspection of energized underground electrical service box and manhole structures. Responsible for the direct supervision of field crews while planning, organizing, and coordinating daily field operations for various job types. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); possess some specialized training or at least three (3) months of related work experience.
Training: Must successfully complete all aspects of a multi-week paid Foreman Training Program, covering inspection processes, administration, crew management, paint application, safety, and driver qualification. The length of training is dependent on the profit center and/or type of service.
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations: Must possess a valid state driver’s license with no DUI/DWI convictions within the previous five (5) years. Ability to maintain First Aid and CPR certifications (e.g., American Heart Associate, Red Cross). May be required to obtain (or work under) a state pesticide applicator license. May be required to obtain and pass a DOT medical exam and/or background check.
Technical Skills: Must be comfortable working within MAD (Minimum Approach Distance) of energized electrical systems of varying voltages. Ability to effectively communicate using e-mail, read and follow maps, understand and follow complex procedures and specifications, and utilize a handheld data collection device (e.g., tablet or handheld computer). Must have strong computer skills and the technical aptitude to learn Osmose software applications. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. They must have full range of mobility in upper and lower body. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may routinely handle and/or apply painting coatings. The position regularly works in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, cold and freezing temperatures, and exposure to poisonous plants, insects, and allergens. The employee may also be exposed to energized electrical equipment and will be required to take appropriate precautions and wear required FR clothing and PPE. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with short periods of loud noise exceeding 85 decibels.
Travel: Varies by customer and/or location and can include frequent Monday through Friday overnight travel or extended travel for multiple weeks throughout one or more states. Extended work weeks and overtime hours are probable during peak work periods or for specific jobs. Must maintain consistent attendance record and be available for work Monday through Saturday.
