Cloud Systems Architect

Osmose is seeking a Cloud Architect for our in office Atlanta, GA or Newnan GA office

Summary of Position:

As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will play a critical role in developing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures while collaborating with development, security, and operations teams.

This role requires deep expertise in Azure services, C#/.NET (ASP.NET), cloud security, and DevOps methodologies. Additionally, experience with Snowflake, Python, and cloud-based data architectures is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Development:

· Design and implement highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures using Azure PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS offerings.

· Develop cloud-native applications leveraging C#/.NET (ASP.NET), Azure Functions, and microservices architectures.

· Define and enforce best practices for cloud development, deployment, and automation.

· Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

Cloud Security & Compliance:

· Implement security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and encryption.

· Utilize Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender to monitor and mitigate security threats.

· Ensure cloud solutions comply with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other industry standards.

· Develop policies and strategies for data governance, access control, and security hardening.

Cloud Deployment & DevOps:

· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and PowerShell scripting.

· Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments with Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates.

· Optimize cloud resource allocation using Azure Monitor, Cost Management, and auto-scaling strategies.

· Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Data & Analytics Integration:

· Design and implement data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Snowflake.

· Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows with Python and SQL for cloud-based data platforms.

· Ensure efficient data storage and retrieval strategies leveraging Azure Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, and Snowflake.

· Work closely with data engineering teams to support real-time analytics, AI/ML workloads, and data lakes.

Performance Optimization & Reliability:

· Monitor and enhance cloud performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.

· Implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies using Azure Site Recovery, geo-redundancy, and backup solutions.

· Conduct cloud health assessments, performance tuning, and cost optimizations to maximize efficiency.

Requirements:

· 5+ years of experience in cloud computing with at least 1+ year in a cloud architecture role.

· Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.

· Proficiency in C#/.NET (ASP.NET) for cloud-based application development.

· Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation.

· Strong understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and network security.

· Experience with Snowflake and Python for data processing and cloud analytics.

· Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and microservices architectures.

· Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.

· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or equivalent.

· Experience working with hybrid cloud environments.

· Knowledge of AI/ML services in Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services).

· Strong background in high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
