Payroll Administrator

Overview

This position supports payroll processing and reporting activities for field employees in a multi-state employer environment.  Pay is $15 to $17 per hour based on experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Responds to a high volume of payroll related calls from employees, foreman, and all levels of management.
  • Performs corrections in Osmose proprietary payroll pre-processing software
  • Audits errors and warnings in pre-processor
  • Tracks field personnel vacation
  • Processes off-cycle payroll, manual checks, and ad hoc payments; processes reversals and stop-payments
  • Sets up earnings and deductions
  • Performs detailed audits prior to final payroll submission; adjusts as needed
  • Coordinates the mailing of manual checks
  • Issues and ships pay cards
  • Scans and indexes documents/documentation
  • Processes garnishments
  • Processes employee payroll-related changes such as direct deposit, W4 withholding, addresses, etc.
  • Supports the separation process

Qualifications

  • Must have previous payroll processing experience or an accounting background preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and exposure to HRIS and/or payroll software such as ADP, Peoplesoft, Workday, Ultipro, Kronos, etc.
  • Exceptional customer service and respect of cultural and ethnic differences.
  • Willingness to work various hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
