The Product Engineer will work under the direction Sr. Product Manager – Pole Restoration and is responsible for product inquiry support, testing, and development for maintaining existing products and services and assisting new product/service development.

The role will be located out of the corporate off in downtown Atlanta or the Newnan office.

Responsibilities:

1. Answer or triage internal and customer questions related to wood pole strengthening products and services.
2. Conduct analysis in the field of pole restoration related products/services, emphasizing performance of products and efficiency and quality of installation process in a field setting. Additionally support full scale product testing.
3. Develop expertise in the area of wood pole restoration and upgrading to establish and maintain Osmose’s leadership in the electric and telecom utility industry.
4. Assist in projects, including planning, execution, and completion of pole restoration product management projects.
5. Work with Analytics group to summarize pole restoration and resiliency data and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
6. Work collaboratively with a team to develop and implement innovative solutions related to wood pole strengthening products.
7. Collaborate with other departments within the organization and closely work with team members.
8. Travel within the United States for field testing and project implementation, with potential opportunities for international travel.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree. Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
2. 1-3 years of experience in a relevant industry.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
4. Ability to work both in an office and field environment.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Physical Demands:

In this role, candidates should expect to work 50% in the office and 50% outside in the field, actively testing material products.
