IT Asset Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Specialist to join our IT Procurement team. The Software Asset Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s software assets through effective procurement, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and contract renewals. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of software licensing and compliance. Only candidates in Atlanta, GA or Peachtree City, GA will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Software Asset Management: Working with our various IT Department managers to manage software asset management processes and systems to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and optimize software usage.
  • Procurement and Deployment: Oversee the procurement process for software licenses and coordinating efficient deployment across the organization in conjunction with our Computer Support Team.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all software licensing terms and conditions and conduct regular audits to verify adherence to agreements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets, including licenses, versions, and record of end users and budget owners.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software vendors and negotiate favorable terms and conditions for software purchases and renewals.

  • Budget Management: Monitor software-related expenditures and contribute to budget planning and forecasting.

  • Reporting: Generate and present reports on software asset management activities, usage, compliance, and cost savings.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on software asset management processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software asset management or a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of software licensing, compliance standards, and asset management best practices.

  • Experience with software asset management tools and systems.

  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to support the business.
