Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our finance team and play a pivotal role in supporting our company's FP&A operations. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, evaluating business performance, and building reporting to be consumed by executive leadership. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, business acumen, and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This position is a 5 day per week position in our downtown Atlanta office.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct thorough financial analysis and modeling to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the development and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Financial Modeling and Scenario Analysis:
    • Develop financial models to assess the impact of different scenarios and strategic decisions on revenue and profitability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the financial implications of new business initiatives.
  • Reporting and Presentation:
    • Prepare and deliver clear and concise financial reports and presentations to communicate analysis findings to senior leadership.
    • Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field with a 1-3 years experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or related roles.
  • A working understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Business acumen with the ability to understand the broader impact of financial decisions on commercial operations.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.

Preferred

  • Able to analyze data and build insightful models using:
    • Power Query
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Sigma
    • Other data visualization/BI tools
  • NetSuite ERP experience
  • Ability to write SQL queries
